Elena Pelevina, owner of Russia House Designs, Moscow, Russia is known worldwide for her designs of fashion clothing and her production of one-of-a-kind porcelain dolls. Her clothing designs are sought after by the world’s leading female personalities including names such as Liza Minelli and the former, now deceased US Secretary of State, Madeline Albright.
The national gift from Russia to the United States in 1995 was a magnificent Elena Pelevina doll with an estimated value of $50,000 US.
The Elena Pelevina folk dolls range in retail value from $595 to $3500 and are hard find in today’s marketplace.
