TRACT 1 IMPROVEMENTS

SLEEPY HOLLOW UNIT FACILITIES

This unit is the first one on the property after you enter the gate at the entrance on Route 311. It is located across the creek on the left side of the road and is accessed by a foot bridge.

Activity Shelter/Storage Shed:  The activity shelter in this unit has a wooden floor, a cooking fireplace, picnic tables and electric lights.

 

Tent Platforms:  There are three wooden platforms for tents.

 

Bathroom:  There is a bathroom with a two-stall pit latrine. A spigot is available for hand washing.

   

Activity Areas:  There is a fire circle for outdoor cooking and campfires and a tent pitching pad. There is easy access to the creek and to the Creek Trail.

TRATHEL UNIT FACILITIES

Norris Lodge:  This building, which was built in 1995/1996, is winterized for year round use. It will accommodate twenty people sleeping on the floor. It has electric lights, an indoor toilet and a kitchen with electric stove, two refrigerators, microwave oven, sink with hot and cold water and work space.  It has a covered porch and ramped access.

Cook Shelter: There is a covered cook shelter with picnic tables and a hand wash stand adjacent to the lodge.

 

Cabins: There are five cabins each of which accommodates eight people in four bunk beds which will convey with the real estate. The cabins have electric lights, are screened and have canvas roll-up curtains. Two of the cabins are connected by decking with built-in benches.

 

Bathroom/Washstand: There is a four-stall pit latrine with electric lights. The covered washstand has a long sink with several cold water spigots.

   

Storage/Well Building: This building has electric lights and houses a well.

 

Activity Area: There are picnic tables, a flagpole and fire circle for outdoor cooking and campfires. The Challenge Trail begins behind the latrine and the Blueberry Hill Trail starts near the flagpole.

This building was re-roofed in 2003.

Kitchen:  This building has two refrigerators and workspace.  The electrical circuit box for this unit and a well are located in this building.  The kitchen has stone cooking fireplaces and a sink on the porch.

 

Cabins:  There are five cabins each of which accommodates eight people in four bunk beds which will convey with the real estate.  The cabins have electric lights, are screened, have roll-up curtains and decks with built-in benches

Bathroom/Washstand:  There is a four-stall pit latrine with electric lights. The covered washstand has a long sink with several cold water spigots.

Activity Areas:  There are picnic tables, a flagpole, a fire circle for outdoor cooking and campfires, as well as an area with log seats for group meetings.  There is an emergency fire exit trail entrance located in this unit near the flagpole. There is easy access to the creek and trails from this unit.
